I have been receiving a few asks in my inbox about what essential skills a traditional & feminine woman should have.

So, I decided to create this video on the basic skills a traditional feminine woman should have, whether she is a city-dwelling trad or a homesteading trad.

Obviously, if you live in the country or in the city, there will be additional skills to cultivate like basic farming and so on, but the list in the video comprises skills that I believe are essentials for every woman who wishes to embrace traditional femininity.

Do not be disheartened if you find yourself lacking in a couple or more of the skills.

Simply pick one skill to develop and then work your way through the list from there.

In my opinion, if you are a traditional Catholic woman or aspiring to the traditional, feminine and Catholic life, then these are skills you should cultivate and even more so, if you are married or feel called to marriage.

  1. My mother did a wonderful job of cultivating all of those things in me from a young age, so I am very happy to be a traditional and feminine lady.

Thank you for hitting the nail on the head repeatedly, Paige. Your blog demands authentic femininity and masculinity from Catholic women and men. You are doing nothing less than preaching the gospel here and that is why I find myself nodding my head in agreement with you time and again. God love you, ma’am. Please keep up your exemplary work. As a Catholic man, it pleases me to no end to see that there are traditional Catholic women like you in this world who continue to speak the truth in regards to hearth and home.   5. Dear Paige Thank you for posting this. I am a follower of your FB page and enjoy your posts and this blog. I am I believe a bit (ok a lot) older than most of your followers. I joined your page because after all these years you have no idea how comforting it is to find out that indeed I was not crazy after all for believing and trying to live out the truth of what you stand up for today only decades ago. Case in point, I have every one of the skills you highlight in this video and what saddens me even more than all the years of being told I was selfish, lazy and naive is that to my husband none of these gifts mattered and they still don’t even today. He couldn’t care less that I can do all these things and several more besides. He only cared and cares whether I can make some money doing anything just so he doesn’t have to be the only one working. It’s too late for me but keep speaking out on behalf of traditional feminity and Catholic womanhood young women need to know they are not alone.

      Please, do not ever think that things are too late for you.

      Yes, your husband may be taking you and your highly-prized skills for granted simply because he is used to you now.

      He has no idea of how a VAST MAJORITY of women today, who did not have traditional upbringing, are lacking in these very basic and necessary skills.

      It is my prayer and hope that as interest in traditional Catholicism and old-fashioned values continues to grow worldwide, the Holy Spirit will open your husband’s eyes to the precious jewel that he has by his side.

      May the Holy Family restore sweetness into your marriage.

    2. That is very sad but should not dissuade you. No one (sadly including husbands) is perfect but God’s plan for us is and I completely agree with Paige in stressing the need for women to learn the skills which supports their Godly femininity and their Godly role.

      Can I add that I would rang sewing / dressmaking (which I am rubbish at) very highly !
