It is true and, boy, those Catholic feminists must be absolutely livid to learn this!
Before these poor feminists rapidly expire from explosive diarrhoea, perhaps we need a brief explanation of what a Patriarch really is.
A Patriarch simply refers to the MALE HEAD of a family, church, community, clan, tribe and so on.
The patriarchy is Biblical and within the Church, the priesthood is held by men.
Women can, of course, offer input and support, as exemplified in the Bible by Mary Magdalene, and the Mary and Martha story.
However, biblically, women do not have godly authority to preach or lead, so the ridiculous modern-day quest for female priests is more than just direct rebellion against Biblical teaching; it is apostasy.
It is also evidence of having Eve-mentality.ย Eve refused to stay under the protection and guidance of her patriarch and she chose to lead that relationship, by overriding the relationship dynamics and following her own rules, much to her own destruction.
As we examine our hearts and motivations, we must be careful that our intentions are coming from a Marian spirit and not an Eve mentality.
I really do not understand modern society’s perpetual dissatisfaction and outrage over everything and anything.
Why did it become okay to be covetous of items, positions and roles that are not ours?!
Oh, that’s right! Eve mentality.
If you live in your life continually dissatisfied that you cannot do something that someone else does, you WILL be miserable forever.
You will whine about not having female sexual organs, if you are male.
You will cry about not being Latina and having a bit more melanin, if you are Caucasian.
You will throw an epic tantrum that you are not the CEO of a global oil company, if you are simply an employee or in a lesser role.
PS – try the above tactic at your job if you want to be swiftly shown the door!
You’ll probably also throw a hissy fit that you are not a tree, allowed to live in the woods and having roots for feet, if society continues to indulge this madness!
Instead of whining about what we cannot do, let us focus instead on what we CAN do.
Men and women are created differently, but because we women defer to men and rely on their leadership and guidance does not make us inferior to them.
We may be different in function and roles, but we are also complementary to each other.
Not only are we women life-bearing sacred vessels, but as only items of value are generally deemed worthy of needing protection, we women are valuable because men, in the form of the patriarchy, have a God-given mandate to protect us.
We cannot profess to be Christian women if we rebel against patriarchy in Biblical teaching.
Here are just a few examples of patriarchy within the Bible:
- JOHN 7 : 22 – “The Patriarchs” of the ten tribes. They are men
- 1 CORย 11: 3 and 1 TIM 2: 13 – Men are ordained to lead
- ISAIAH 57 : 15 – God Himself is the Patriarch of all patriarchs
So, I am very sorry to disappoint you ladies, but the patriarchy is indeed Biblical and it is awesome!
The patriarchy is there to provide for us, defend us, protect us and much more, so quit whining and give thanks to God for the patriarchs in your life, be it your father, brother, Uncle, priest, husband or a male figure who is an inspiration to you; real men who embody the qualities of true patriarchy like THIS GUY and THIS GUY.
Don’t have an honourable patriarch in your life?
Go to Joseph.ย He will be your patriarch and if in search of a spouse, he would bring you a virtuous man and true patriarch to guide, protect and provide for you.
St Joseph, light among patriarchs, pray for us
ad Jesum per Mariam
Canโt even believe a book written by men would state that men hold all the power.

Hi Mary Alice!
Ah, yes. I know the one you are talking about.
It was slightly redesigned to remove the TCF wording at the back as I felt it was too obtrusive?
You can find the mug you are talking here>> http://tinyurl.com/y54xslnw
