I will not lie.
We are indeed in trying times right now.
With the world outside falling apart, we can feel a sense of loss of control.
This is a good reminder to us that when things outside of us are disintegrating, we must return within and find peace, fortitude, and strength inside us.
There isn’t much that we can do about the state of the world right now, but we must not be afraid.
We must try to focus less on the external things that we have no control over, and focus more on the internal things that we can control.
3 main ways we can survive the Coronavirus pandemic is via:
- Quarantine or self-isolation
- Meticulous hand hygiene
- Fortifying your immune system to fight this disease, and
- Returning within, to our inner cell and learning to listen to God’s still small voice
Okay, 4 main ways.
And if your location goes into lockdown, leaving you unable to attend Mass, you can join in with online live Mass at LiveMass.Net
During WW2 and the Blitz, the British motto was “Keep Calm And Carry On.”
In unsettling times like these, my exhortation to you is to Keep Calm and Offer It Up – all of it – your fears and anxieties, and trust that, no matter what happens, God is still in control.
Pope Francis has given us this beautiful prayer to Our Lady, Health of the Sick, to use as we implore her help in the coronavirus pandemic. Feel free to pray it as often as needed.
I have also uploaded a Marian Antiphon Sung In Time Of Plague on the Traditional Catholic Femininity YouTube Channel
Our Lady, Health of the Sick, pray for us!
