Veiling is a beautiful and ancient tradition of the Church that is starting to make a comeback.
However, a lot of Catholic women still refuse to wear the veil for Adoration and even Sunday Mass.
When entering the house of the Lord, there is a definite dress code that we should comply with.
I find that not only is veiling a beautiful Biblical teaching that should be adhered to, but it is also a way of acknowledging our God-given feminine nature.
Repudiating the wearing of the veil, a woman dishonours her own femininity and dignity.
Even St Paul said in 1 Cor 11:5, that an unveiled woman is a dishonoured woman.
Modern women, in rebellion against Godโs order of authority, have not only cast off their own femininity and God’s order of authority, they have also cast off the symbol of that order of authority โ the veil.
When a person is not in submission to God, the person is said to be in rebellion against the authority of Godโฆโฆand the Greek word for rebellion โฆโฆ.is apostasy.
In the video below, I share 10 Biblical and beautiful reasons to wear the veil.
