One of my Twitter followers, Nichola, who you should totally be following because her content is awesome, shared a picture which inspired me to write this article.

Given the current state of the world today, it would be foolish to not have some form of spiritual protection on you and your family.

A spiritual warfare kit should include the most important items for the physical and spiritual protection of yourself, your children and your family.

With Fr. Ripperger being one of my spiritual mentors, I have learned to develop my discernment beyond the physical, tangible world.

Now, of course, we should not be paranoid that there are demons everywhere.

As Fr. Ripperger once said: “There aren’t demons under every rock……only under every other rock!”

Lol!  Don’t ya just love him?!

In all seriousness, he is absolutely right.

Even the Bible tells us in Ephesians 6: 12 – 13
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Mental illnesses, depression, codependency to toxic and dangerous people, inflammatory illnesses, family breakdown, wayward children, children developing strange ideas, long term unemployment, blockages and hindrances in fulfilling your vocation (be it finding a virtuous partner and getting married, or getting into religious life) and so on – NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL!!

At least, not at the rate and intensity with which many people today are experiencing them.

Our physical world is a manifestation and reflection of the invisible spiritual world – many quantum physicists know this!

Evil is waging a war against all of us.  This war is VERY real and it is VERY personal.

There are wars and battles for our souls and our families always being fought in the spiritual realm, whether we know it or not.

If you aren’t fighting back, then you have already lost.

Luckily, we Catholics have access to all the knowledge and the tools needed to defeat the devil and his empty promises

Our guardian angels do help to protect us, but we can gain much more protection, graces and blessings by making use of certain spiritual tools.

Our physical world is a manifestation and reflection of the spiritual world, so when we engage in spiritual warfare and protection, we begin to see the positive effects in your physical world, including our everyday personal lives and our families.

If God and our Lady did not think we would need spiritual reinforcements, we would not have been advised to acquire and use them regularly.

St. Maximilian Kolbe said:
“SCAPULAR, ROSARY, MIRACULOUS MEDAL: here are three things that the Immaculata herself has designed to offer for the salvation of mankind.”

WHAT ITEMS SHOULD GO INTO YOUR SPIRITUAL WARFARE KIT?

ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Archangel Michael’s primary job is for the protection of the Church and God’s people.

He is also the leader of God’s army, which is why developing a devotion to him, acquiring his medal and/or even praying his chaplet can boost your spiritual defences significantly.

In addition to wearing a St. Michael medal, I recommend having it in your home as well and if you have children, having a medal by their bedside.

               

           

                       

THE CRUCIFIX

The crucifix is the sign of victory over the devil and demons are said to “tremble and flee” when they see a crucifix

It is important that you get an actual Crucifix ie one with the Corpus (body of Christ on it), and not just a plain Cross ie one without.

I recommend wearing the Crucifix on your body i.e. as a pendant

Many Catholic homes also display a Crucifix somewhere central such as the living room or hallway.

A habit that I picked up from my Italian in-laws is to also have a Crucifix on the wall above each bed in the home.

And if your crucifix also includes a St. Benedict medal, its protective powers are magnified.

                  

 

   

            

 

THE SAINT BENEDICT MEDAL

Some of the effects of the very powerful medal of St. Benedict include:

• To destroy witchcraft and all diabolical influences.
• To impart unto people tempted, deluded or tormented by evil spirits.
• To obtain the conversion of sinners into the Church, especially when they are in danger of death.
• To serve as armour against temptation.
• To destroy the effects of poison.
• To secure a timely and healthy birth for children.
• To afford protection against storms and lightning.
• To serve as efficacious remedy against bodily afflictions and as a means of protection against contagious diseases.

You can have a St. Benedict medal added to your pendant like I have below.

ON THIS PENDANT, I HAVE: a Crucifix,, St Benedict medal, Miraculous Medal and a St Michael the Archangel medal.  And yes, I am wearing a veil too.

Otherwise, your crucifix should have a St. Benedict medal.

I also recommend having the St. Benedict medal above every bed in the home.

 

 

 

THE ROSARY

The Rosary, labelled a “glorious weapon against Satan” by  Padre Pio, as well as many other saints and popes, certainly lives up to its title.

When we pray the Rosary, we unite our will to the will of our Lady, whose will is united to God.

The act establishes a powerful presence in the world and serves to act as both a spiritual buffer as well as an antidote against evil.

The Rosary is an essential item to be included in your spiritual warfare kit and I recommend getting a Rosary that includes the St Benedict Medal, if you can.

 

       

THE BROWN SCAPULAR OF OUR LADY

Some of the privileges of the Brown Scapular declare that all those who out of true veneration and love for the Blessed Virgin constantly wear the scapular in a spirit of fidelity and confiding faith, after they have been placed by the Church itself with this habit or badge under the special protection of the Mother of God, shall enjoy this special protection in the matter and crisis which most concerns them for time and eternity.

Satan hates the Brown Scapular and there are numerous stories that attest to the miraculous nature of the Brown Scapular.

Suffice to say, the Brown Scapular is a very potent aid to those who devoutly wear it and call upon Our Lady’s help in time of need.

When we wear it with devotion and choose to serve God and the Blessed Virgin Mary, in a state of grace, the Brown Scapular can enrich our spiritual life, amplify our spiritual protection and help us in our times of greatest need.

 

  

THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL

In addition to the Brown Scapular, the Miraculous Medal is a sacramental and powerful devotional to our Lady and the Church teaches that when worn with faith and in concordance with a life of virtue, carry powerful promises attached to them.

               

   

            

 

HOLY WATER

Every Catholic parish has holy water, which is readily available.

Simply take some home with you

If there is no Holy Water fount visibly available, then ask your priest to bless some Holy Water for you.

Keep Holy Water in your home at all times, and use at least once a day, to bless yourself and your children.

Very efficacious when used at the beginning of the day before heading out of the home for school or work.

 

EXORCIZED OR BLESSED SALT

You can get blessed salt from your parish priest and if you can, get it from a traditional exorcist priest.

Use some blessed salt to bless the doorways, especially the entryways , of your home and sprinkle along your property lines to create a spiritual barrier between your family and your home, and the evils of the outside world.

Be warned though, a side-effect of this can lead to certain people in your life frequenting your home less and less.

This is okay.  God, who knows their true evil intent towards you, is simply moving them out of your home.

When this happens, give thanks to God and do not go running after the person.

 

  

   

 

Be sure to get all your items, medals, rosaries, crucifix etc, blessed by a Catholic priest and where possible, get them blessed by a traditional priest who is also an exorcist, for additional potency.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

St Joseph, terror of demons, pray for us

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.
