A lot of people think that in order to be an authentic Proverbs 31 woman, one must be married with children.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

Yes, the Proverbs 31 woman is modelled around a married woman with children, but the key traits of the Proverbs 31 woman are traits that all Catholic women are called to strive for, whether or not one is married.

Whether you are single, discerning,  widowed, in religious life, or married (with or without children), emulating and living the traits and characteristics of the Proverbs 31 woman is something that we can and should do.

Do not feel like an incomplete or defective female because you might be unmarried or childless.

Regardless of our age or our state in life, be it single, married or religious, we are all called to motherhood.
