The month of February is traditionally dedicated to the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, which is the model of virtue for all families and Christian households.

How apt that the month of love is also dedicated to the Holy Family – an example of love perfected and love personified.

The Holy Family was holy because they always sought to do God’s Will in all things and in honouring the Holy Family, we also honour all families, big or small.

“The Holy Family is truly the “prototype” of every Christian family which, united in the Sacrament of Marriage and nourished by the Word and the Eucharist, is called to carry out the vocation of being the living cell not only of society but also of the Church.” – BENEDICT XVI

In a world where authentic love, marriage, and the family institution are under attack everywhere we turn, by looking to the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph as our template for love and marriage, and by following their example, we too can be blessed with authentic love and as well as marriages and families like Heaven on earth.

In short, to have or be a holy family, we must look to the Holy Family.

As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live

May we always look to the Holy Family to guide us and pray for the intercession of Our Lady and Saint Joseph.

To all families, may our children be like shoots of the olive tree, around your table.

May all families imitate the Holy Family of Nazareth

May the love of the Holy Family reign in every home.
