As the Coronavirus pandemic continues to carve its deathly path across the globe, leading to the shut down of most services and the closure of churches, many of us are now starting to realise that social distancing, quarantines, and lockdowns are now going to be our new reality for a very long time.
Many of us are already in despair at the thought that we can no longer attend Mass in Church and receive Communion, but we must fall into misery.
Church isn’t closed – it’s the buildings which are closed.
Sure, we may not have our normal privilege of weekly Communion, but the most important thing for us is to be in a state of grace as we face our own mortality during these troublesome times.
Although we may not be able to attend Mass at our local parishes, we can and should still attend Mass via livestream.
Compared to previous civilizations who have also encountered deadly plagues, we have something that they didn’t have – the Internet.
And through the power of the digital age, we can STILL participate in Mass in our own homes!
What a blessing! What a privilege and we must give thanks to God for this and we MUST participate in it.
There is always a silver lining behind every cloud and we should focus on it, instead of focusing on things we cannot control.
The devil’s plan is for us to spend our time whining, groaning, muttering and missing out on Mass completely, when what we should be doing is making the best of our situation with what we still have at this time.
Another wonderful stroke of luck behind this is that many of us who live very far from their nearest Latin Mass parish can now attend a livestream online Latin Mass, without having to travel!!
As you see, we have no excuses whatsoever not to be in communion with our Lord at Mass.
But what is a livestream Mass? How do I attend it?ย Where do I find it??!
I have put together this short video to explain it all.

Family members “caught” Mass via the Internet (and daily readings). My grandpa, when sick, use to catch the OTA local tv Mass. (he had to ask us to leave the hospital room!)
